Harbor Funds is an investment advisor and their main focus managing assets for corporate pension plans. Their main goal was to update their site and give it a modern feel while also allowing for maximum flexibility in how they could display their content. In addition, significant amounts of data would need to be able to be handled as well as a multitude of charts and graphs.
This project actually happened in a two-part approach. Initially, we were just going to build out a living styleguide (using KSS – Knyle Style Sheets) that would be handed over at the end of the project and the client’s internal team would build it out. Over time this styleguide grew to having many example pages which then grew to it converting into a full build out of the site using the headless CMS Contentstack with React. GraphQL was used to query for the content and AmCharts was integrated for the complex charts and graphs. The site was built as a collaborative effort by a team – I served as the dev lead for the initial phase of work and as a key producer for the rest of the buildout.
