The Small Exchange was founded in 2019 as a new concept to become the world’s largest “customer-centric” futures exchange. The site itself provides an overview for what The Small Exchange does, provides information about regulatory compliance, news, products, and more. In addition, users can access the site to see real-time trading stats for each of the products as well as sign up for a subscription.

This project was built utilizing the headless CMS Prismic as well as React for the front end and Node for interacting with the dxfeed API. Node was especially useful in creating real-time web sockets to manage live futures data in the application. Since the small exchange is regulated by the CFTC, it was crucial to ensure that all data at all times is 100% accurate. The site was built as a collaborative effort by a team and I served as the dev lead for this project.
